Ok. I agree it is a financial disaster. Double the price for double the bandwidth makes no sense. But I am tired of receiving 20KBps on my current package and I can save time wasted on waiting for downloads by upgrading. What do you guys suggest?

That 299 topup thingy should also be a good option for you ... you could download most of your stuff at night (10P.M - 8A.M)

Get the 299 topup. I used to get 22 KB/s on the 999 plan, after getting the topup I get 33-34 KB/s during the day and 70 KB/s from 9 PM to 7.30 AM.

I don't think he wants it for download as much as he wants it for his work ... If slow speed in hindering ur work then u must go for 512 plan ... I guess we don't have any other options ...

is that so? 😱 i think i would get the top up and not the 512 plan 😱

duh the person i talked to had no idea about this topup plan... i picked up the 1999 plan. i guess i would check it out for a month and see if that works for me or not. 30-35 should be ok for me provided they can give me around 512k at nights!

So basically to get 256Kbps unlimited one has to pay the 999 and then pay 299 more just to get that speed? Airtel sucks!

but ur doing great with ur package right? they have always been kind to you 😛

Airtel isn't kind to me, I am getting what I pay for. What about being fair to others as well? High time this slow speed money milking ends!

I have Airtel 512 UL Plan (atleast they said they have upgraded it) and I am getting constant 55 Kbps all day and all night long. It is worth it.

2 days and i am still on the old package. with weekend coming up... i might be stuck with these speeds for 2 more days 🙁

maybe they are on diwali break and you wont get your new speeds until after the holidays! 🙂

I am not sure what kind of service Airtel can give you when they them selves are having Server Busy most of the time http://www.airtel.in
