Thanks to everybody who helped me take a decision and clarify my doubts. I have finally applied for Triband DSL NU!! and Babu say "5-6 din lagengaaaa". Just one more stupid question. How can *I* know for sure it is with the new firmware. I mean anything on the box such as Manufacture date or Batch no. etc that I can use to make sure he has come with the new modem instead of the old one. If I can verify and find it is the old one then I can prevent him from opening it. On another note, I also complained about poor line, the lineman called up "kuch problem kya..." and now the line has gone even worst. Just praying this message goes thru before disconnect.

If anyone can help me with identifying the new firewared modem then wud be very helpful.

well, my Current Firmware Version : V2.00B01T01.DI.20050121so anything upwards of this will be new...don't know a way to find out if u have the new/old modem without opening the pack...and my pack was already open anyhow :p
