Due to health problems, sixty-year-old Toussaint must move in with his daughter, Jazmin, who lives in Mexico. Toussaint, from Haiti, has never been able to settle anywhere. He was not a loving father and is a complete stranger to Jazmin. During this forced cohabitation, Toussaint recomposes the puzzle of his past, under his daughter's sometimes severe, sometimes benevolent gaze. The situation will enable Jazmin to get on with her own life.
