warning to potential surface buyers in india. surface books are pieces of shits that look shiny.

artist friend bought surface pro 2017 for 1.10lakh from official microsoft distributor. it was beautiful but then after 2 months, it started developing touchscreen problems. when contacted microsoft, they said they havent launched officially in india so no support can be given.

had to argue tooth and nail with both official distributor and microsoft and finally distributor said that he'll provide me with US bill if I can get my device to US on my own. thankfully a friend was going to US so he took it with him and shipped it to microsoft once he reached there. whole drama took 1 and half month and just 2 days back, we got email saying new surface is shipped to my friend in US. Then we have to wait for my friend to come back to india early next month.

compare this with Apple which replaces your macbook within 2 days (under warranty ofcourse). my friend bought an cintiq hd and now looking to sell off this piece of shit and be done with it
