I entirely second your post, but we should never forget BSNL's contribution in price reduction whether it is Mobile or Broadband. In fact lakhs of people are waiting for BSNL Excell prepaid card across the country. This may be a real dampener for the critics of BSNL. ha ha ha!!! :lol: 😀 :lol:
 
exactly. they cannot even serve the customers who want their connections. that does not show that they are a good service provider.
 
Ya, in a way you are right. But a vast majority of consumers in the price sensitive Indian market are dependent on BSNL. And, I don't know whether, it is true or not but, there is a talk that the Private sector cartel has delayed many BSNL roll out plans through their dirty tricks department to buy that extra time and milk the Indian consumer.

BSNL's already got Wi-Fi in major streets of central Pune and some malls. Speed was usually between 1 and 2MBPS and free. They now have some kind of encryption over the wireless networks. It might have gotten paid, but they still exist.I'll call the guy who handles and implements all the bandwidth to public spots in Pune and he knows what he's talking about. Ima try and find out whats his take on Wi-Max.
