I am surprised people believe BSNL will give 1 GB per day of high speed.

Airtel and co will bribe BSNL babus so that they can deprive Jio take the whole lot of them. BSNL was the only provider who gave competing plans to Jio from the beginning ( if you were keeping track of them )

If you use less then 1 gb a day then i don't think you need more then 2mbps
Not if you watch videos in 720p, download big files.

It seems the other way round....... BSNL is a govt. agency..... and govt. machinery is at Ambani's disposal.....

And the possible reason for BSNL's such offer is to further strangulate other players.... and furthermore, it was already rumored that Jio is going to have a fallback (2G & 3G) pact with BSNL....

After TBs and TBs of consumption I'm left with nothing now. I've left downloading since January this year. What are you downloading still now?

Now 1 GB per day is more than enough for me if you ask as does @meetdilip.
I hardly download anything for myself . Most of it us uwe'd by family members. I just use jio in the night to download games I buy on steam and apart fom that some shows and movies. After the June summer sale I will again have to download a ton of games . I usually buy games on steam during the weekend sale or the main sales .

If you are normal user, even 1 GB is good at 4 Mbps. I hardly use 1 GB per day.

In today's world lot of GB is required even without any download.

Some people love to watch TV but who once start online streaming it is rare he/she will again addicted to TV and streaming uses lot of GB. Higher quality streaming uses huge GBs. Some people use SD resolution streaming (I also) but there are times when HD streaming required specially some instruction videos with lot of text.

Online games use lot of GB.

Video chatting uses lot of GB

Live video streaming uses lot of GB

Etc.

And there are times download also needed for Windows update, Linux Update etc.. New software installing, occasionally other files etc.

But a normal user usually dont do all the mentioned thing with equal quantity.

But a normal user usually do some the the mentioned thing.

I think to have a satisfactory Internet Experience in terms of Streaming and Multiplayer games, We should have a connection that can do 3gb/Hour.

With prices of full HD tvs falling so fast, the internet connection should very least be able to stream 1080p content.

To be honest, before Jio, most people used those " lot of GBs " to clone torrent sites to their hard disc.

First, let government give clean drinking water to all. Then we can force them on quality internet.

The funny part is people want all this for ₹ 500.

I'm not sure how are you gonna cope without night unlimited after the prime plans officially get launched. None of the plans will have NU.

This is a sad joke on people like me stuck with BSNL ADSL 4 mbps plan with 8 GB FUP 😀

Soon folks will be moving to 4k/UHD content which needs minimum around 20-30 mbps for streaming and there are already some lucky people with such speeds, some even going to 100+ mbps and even 1 gbps - unholy speeds.

But that's about 1% population enjoying across country from 130 crores right? Think about it.

If you are willing to pay, BSNL offers leased line. You can get one, collect your neighbours and use it collectively. The person who runs it get unlimited GB and great speed.
