Hi friends, I am a MTNL user and have a plan with 170gb data limit that costs me about rs. 1600 a month. my data usage is about 100gb a month. so i am thinking of changing my MTNL plan to rs. 849 and get another net connection. I am in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi and we have ACT, Hathway and Excitel among the few other net providers. Which one shall i choose as a secondary connection? are they reliable or they stop working for days?

excitel is gud cheaper 95% uptime
peering is also thr cheap

yup. give excitel a try for a month. use it as your primary connection. use mtnl for backup.

Don't know about excitel uptime in your area, but might be ok if you're near their center. You should ask for what plans hathway is giving. Also webriders lco is also giving fiber(probably fttn?) in your area so if they have good plans and coverage you can look into that. Also I'd wait for what Act is anouncing tomorrow. .

I moved from MTNL to Excitel about 8-9months back......

No looking back... but it all depends upon your LCO.... check his reputation first rather than Excitel....

wow so many options.
Try ACT in my opinion. Next Hathway last excitel.

Excitel is good for leechers only who are ok with downtime here n there.

thanks for the suggestions guys, today i will contact all 3 of them and might even try to visit their local office and see who looks most professional.

thanks for all the help mates, got ACT installed yesterday. also applied for Airtel but they showed up late. so far its working fine except i am getting poor speed on wifi, i am sure it has something to do with my modem settings.

ACT has the worst service that I have ever seen. At the time of providing connection, they make various promises, but don't go by any of them later. It has been one week since we have filed a complaint for which they asked us to wait for two days. Nothing has happened since then. We have to wait half n hour to talk to customer care. Those guys repeat the same message again as if they have no idea about the issue and they just extend time. Guys any other option apart from ACT is good. I have paid a six months advance and in just 2 months I faced two issues with the connection for which this company has really frustrated us all. Never go for ACT.
