So this has been on my mind for quite sometime,I was wondering if one should highlight Forum Moderator experience on their resume or not ??
Like would it make any difference ,or is this something no one considers as work experience.

if you are applying for a social media related job than i guess it should be a plus.

But in general would someone put it on their resume, like let's say I've been a moderator for a forum like (XdA or something else, then should I mention it in my CV

You should add it to the work & experience if you have left the job else you can add it to the hobbies.

For software developer openings, personally I feel I should, but it does feel a little weird,I've added internships to my list, but I'm not sure in what genre this would come under

what 'experience' you think you have acquired as a forum moderator ?

In big forums moderators can be dick because there are lot of members

in small forums mods have to be more politically correct to not lose members (this forum is an exception)

It would help if you were a mod at a place like the github forums or stackexchange if its a software job. I dont think for here, it would really matter.

Just say "I have experience dealing with large group of people online by being an large software forum admistrator" under extra curricular section
