Hey guys!

I have a Gigabyte LGA1155 motherboard. One of the pins on the motherboard got bent, and then it got snapped off when I tried to get it back up into shape. Since it is an older generation motherboard, it has been discontinued, but it is a gaming motherboard, and I'd hate to have to buy a new one.

Is some kind of repair possible? The broken pin of course ain't coming back, but maybe the CPU socket in its entirety could be replaced? In that case, any idea what this might end up costing, since it is extremely delicate work?

The repair would most likely cost more than the board is worth as LGA 1155 Sockets/Motherboards are not produced anymore. Try booting with the broken pin, maybe you get lucky and the broken pin isn't that important.

I remember seeing a notice at a service centre which serviced Asus motherboards mentioning the cost of replacing CPU sockets. It was somewhere between ₹800-₹1000, not very sure. Im sure Gigabyte would be providing similar repair options. Try contacting one of the service centres of Gigabyte.

I have a gaming motherboard and all other gaming components. Getting a new motherboard that will be able to match up with my specs will be quite expensive. Which is why I'm leaning towards a repair option.

Are you looking for something which can support two gpus ? Which gaming components are you using ? What is you entire current spec ?
