I am using 256 kbps broadband connection from BSNL. The initial 3 months weretoo good, I didnt get any problem with the service. But for the past few months I geta lot of disconnectivity issues. Sometimes I get a Error 678 on dialing.I am not able to dial during peak hours. I made a complaint to the BSNL persons.They noted down my address and had never turned up so far. The connection is becoming worser and worser day by day.......

Surrender it if u dont llike it and switch to anther service provider whom u really feel would give better service.Never give in to these service providers if u have a better alternative.

yes...stick to any ISP if only it's satisfying all ur needs...otherwise, no need to be loyal with them...coz if there won't be any competition, nothing's gonna improve!!!

I can't understand why dialing is required for this. This is generally required for dial-up connections. Disconnections is a serious issue. This will cause panic among users. At present, I'm using cable internet and the connection will disonnect sometimes. At that time, I will be angry with my ISP. I was planning to shift to BSNL dataone. I think I've to stick with one provider even if it causes some kind of trouble.

Error 678 generally occurs when the remote host (BSNL's server) is down. It occurs sometimes in my case, and once it lasted for about 5 days in June. Complaining to the customer support didn't solve anything, so I guess you have to wait until your star shines and the network heals itself(!!).

DIaling is required to reduce the risk of malacious things from enetering when ur logged but not using the net. I support it. One can always configure the modem to dial on its own I guess. My router does it for me likewise.Disconnection on its own is not nice but again thats done when the usage is not there and one can always active a quicker Keep Alive to get thru without disconnection. Refer links given on this forum for that earlier.

thats not my problem....................why shud I search it for ppl who as me for the link.Let them hunt it for themselves if the forum head is himself not interested to help out on this issue by saying that the forum has a search link on top.

hey ppl... comign here after alon time.. had been to US for a while... well got back 2 weeks back.. wanted to get my BSNL diconnected in bangalore.. can some one tell me who to get it done before i lave for US again plz..... take care guys 🙂 am i still the only girl here ... 😉
