I would like to know how much speed you people are getting with the BSNL dataone connection?Will you get 200 kbps for a 256 kbps connection?
 
tried using the searching command?

230 kbps to 240 kbps...........

I am getting around 32KBps when downloading. That wroks out to be 256kbps. But ofcourse it use to fluctuate quite often, depending on the source of information and other network parameters. Some times it would go up say like 35-40 KBps range some times it used to dip to say 25 to 28 KBps range. But on an average there was a good performance and used to deliver the stipulated bandwidth as promised. 😀
 
Ask subscribers of Sify. They will give you tell you how big an issue it is for them. In fact one frustrated customer had gone to an extent of creating a webpage on this issue. 🙄
