Hi, I have diagnosed an issue that whenever there is a electricity-cut in our area, Hathway's link goes down.

Which means, it doesn't connect. But as soon as electricity comes back, it connects properly.

P.S.: I can assure you that I have good Inverter and there is no power switch trip between the Electricity and Inverter. (It is 100% Instant).

I have Hathway from many months and I am noticing it for last somedays only. (It was not happening this way before).

Complain to the company that their local backup has stopped working.

@Sushubh You mean their local back power?

Aren't there any supervisor, local guy or engg. available at the back up place to see daily?

How would you complain: Simply the IVR Number or anything special?

I don't know. Networking hardware require power. I imagine Hathway is delivered by lco? Which has to ensure power backup exists and is working. Reliance Broadband has terrible power backup. Sify was shit as they asked customers to provide power supply to their hardware. I actually could kill the supply to people after my house by shutting off the supply from my place.

@Sushubh I am not sure if it's LCO or Hathway Direct. What is the way to have it fixed 100%?

In Chennai, they are using GPON. Only the OLT in Hathway end and ONT at user end need to be powered. If you have power backup at home, you can have uninterrupted connection.

i am guessing he means that the hathway network in chennai is more resilient to power cuts. maybe it does not need power supply on route so local power cuts does not affect the supply to customer's houses as long as customer has power for their own location devices.

^ Yes. The trunks used in GPON carry only lights. Hathway uses DOCSIS 3.0 via co-ax and if @Adidam is on cable broadband then it needs electricity.
