Jammu and Kashmir: No more big fat weddings, state govt imposes restrictions on number of guests from April 1
900 people at a wedding is a pretty liberal limit.According to the notification, the number of guests at the wedding ceremony of a daughter and a son to 500 and 400 respectively. For smaller functions like engagements, the number of guests has been restricted to 100.
The Jammu and Kashmir government has also banned the use of loudspeakers and firecrackers in any government/private social functions. The state government has also banned sending sweets or dry fruits with invitation cards for functions from April 1.
