How to allow files executable as Programs to run in Linux Mint

Step 1:
Open Computer > Edit > Preferences > Behavior > Executable Text Files > Select "Run executable text files when they are opened"

Step 2:
Open Properties of *file executable as program* > Permissions > Execute: Select "Allow executing file as program"
