Who is faster? A person who run 30km/h or 35km/h? Any math students here?

Leo - 35km/h
Lance - 30km/h

But Lance can run with speed of 49.8km/h after interval of every 20sec.

Lance start running with 49.8km/h for first 10sec then for next 20sec Lance run with 30km/h speed then for next 10sec Lance again run with 49.8km/h and then again with speed of 30km/h for 20sec and then again with speed of 49.8km/h for 10sec. and so on....
it will like.
10s-20s-10s-20s .......

I want to know in 1 min who will cover more distance? Leo OR Lance?

Explain briefly please.

First lets caculate for a minute. In a minute his speed varies 49.8 + 30 + 30 + 49.8 + 30 + 30 = 219.6. Now to get the average speed, we need to divide by 6, whch comes to 36.6, so his average speed is 36.6 km/hr.

Lance will hence cover more distance. As the average speed for minute is to be replicated for the entire hour.

Question asks about 1 minute running.

So lets calculate speed per min

Leo = 35km/h = 35000m/60 min = 583.33m/min

So Leo will cover 583.33 meters in 1min.

Lance = 2 slabs of 10 sec(total 20 seconds) @ 49.8km/h = 49800m/60min = 830m/min

So distance in 20seconds = 830x20/60 = 276.67 meters

2 slabs of 20 seconds (total 40 seconds) @ 30km/h = 500m/min

So distance in 40 seconds = 500x40/60 = 333.33 meters

So Lance will cover total 610 meters in 1min.

And the winner is Lance!

Should be easy enough for anyone good at Math. A school student who is good at Math should be able to solve it 😕
