Need to buy Mobile phone.
Budget- 15K. Battery back up is most important for me. Advise me the best deal I can get. Cool1 have so far zeroed in to.(to be future proof to some extent, aware of no memory card expansion slot). Moto M is another choice considering if there is any Sale at Flipkart around Republic Day.

Redmi Note 3 seems like a nice option at this price, given its updated to Marshmallow and has humongous specs for the price. Lenevo Zuk Z1 is also a popular phone in this price segment but hasn't yet received marshmallow. I wouldn't recommend Le 2 as it hasn't gained so much popularity in India

you can't buy note 3 right now since its out of stock everywhere. Note 4 is launching on jan 19th so that's your best bet. It'll definitely be below 15k. Be sure to buy the 3 GB ram version.

At that range, you probably won't go wrong with the upcoming Redmi Note 4 IMO, especially if it comes with the SD653 instead of the rumored SD625. Honor 6X looks tempting on paper, but from my understanding, Huawei tends to cut corners with sensors, etc. With Huawei, you're unlikely to get all the hardware and software functionality of Xiaomi or Asus, at least that was the case with its last year's models.

Now that Asus has gone full retard with its pricing, the RN4 will probably be your best bet IMO. What's more, you'll save some money as well, as Xiaomi is likely to price the 4GB+64GB version at around 12-13K. It will launch tomorrow.

However, it you can make do with 5-inch screen, you can also look at the Lenovo (ZUK) Z2 Plus, which comes with almost stock Android Marshmallow and Snapdragon 820 for exactly 15K after getting a price-cut last week. All these phones will have ordinary cameras, though. At these prices, something has to give. If you want power, sensors and everything, cameras will suffer. If cameras are your main concern, get a Samsung A-series phone or maybe the upcoming Galaxy C5 Pro, which will likely be in your price-range. They'll suck in every other way, but will have better cameras than any of the Chinese devices.

My suggestion will be to at least check out the reviews of both the 6X and the RN4 before deciding. I'm thinking about getting the RN4 myself. I won't touch Sammy with a bargepole unless I have a 60K budget. And then, I won't look at anybody else.

P.S.- BTW, if your budget is 15K, the absolute best option would have been to spend just 4K more to get the OnePlus 3 from Flipkart last week! That was an absolute steal! It is on sale on Amazon for 28K!! I'm only thinking of the RN4 because I'm a garib aadmi with a max budget of ~10K LOL (Ideally lower hehe). 😛

^ that OnePlus sale on flipkart was only for PR. Few models were on sale and they sold out quickly.

DOn't recommend ZUK series of phones too. Too many quality control issues. See the reviews on Amazon for example.

Honor series is good but then you'll find service lacking in after sales support since I don't think they Huawei exclusive service centers in india.

i actually ordered zuk two days back on flipkart and then canceled 20 minutes later after reading all the reviews. now waiting for note 4. if the pricing is not good or availability is an issue, i would wait for Nokia mid-range devices that should arrive in a few months.

of course QC 3.0 is a big help too.

If battery backup is most important to you, get Lenovo P2. You'd easily get 3 days of battery life if you not a heavy user.

It has the Snapdragon 625 and a 5100 mAH. The processor is absolutely insane in terms of battery optimization.

I have a Moto Z Play which has the same processor and a 3600 mAH battery and it easily lasts 2 days for me.

I regularly get 11-12 hours of Screen on Time.
