destination not reachable

when my net not work and i ping 192.168.1.1 -t i sometimes get the msg "destination not reachable"why is it so?
 
AFAIK .. the ICMP reports that wen remote host is down.. P.S. : why did u make 4 diff topics.. u cudve posted yr comments of the same topic itself..

well, 😱
i was (and am still) sitting idle and ofcourse i don't write down my queries first and then type them up. as and when they come to my mind i post them.(could have used da edit button too, but then i have to increase my no. of posts too!0 🙄

i am sorry if someone doesn't like it but i am new to forums world and have found it pretty x-citing to be with many companions like u.
 
whenevr the hub or switch is switched off i get that error........the switch is in my neghibour's house
