it is a typo. even S. Korea would find hard to give 2gbps/1 tb for less than 25$/month 🙂

Yeah it's definitely a typo. Still 1299 for 200 Mbps is dirt cheap. We could expect 1 Gbps soon at reasonable price. I know I sound spoiled but 1 TB cap is peanuts for a gigabit connection. I hope they throw in a couple of TB's at least.

@maniac123 Next month you will also have to call customer care and get extra GB's allocated. I have again moved from hathway to excitel 😛. Hathway wasn't giving me as promised 50mbps speeds. They have expanded too quickly and I feel they have bandwidth issues.

Remember when SCV (Cherri) shooed them away from Chennai a decade ago? It's time for payback. Setting up a separate IDC for Chennai customers means 1 Gbps is confirmed.

Honestly I'm not surprised by the high average data consumption. Soap operas and Shittalk shows are now readily available in YT, Hotstar and Yupp TV. I'm also planning to cut the cord after I figure out how to get the news channels via Internet for Dad.

@mr_grump5 Been using since March 22, So far so good(I mean extremely satisfied), had some hiccups initially with data but they were very generous when it comes to crediting data. If it comes to your location just get it blindly, i can vouch for it.

On the scale of 10
Speed : 10(Torrents with seeds are absolute shocker)
Reliability : 9(Faced downtime twice for around 20 min, problem at my end)
Customer Care : 8(Complaints gets resolved within stipulated time)

vividly, they were sent packing overnight :closedtongue:

have already moved DTH pack to basic pack and mostly hanging around only for Live sport.
All our regional/English News Channels stream via youtube or in their app so just get a Amazon stick and should be good to go.

guess with 1tb they don't have to fudge data count 🙂 ever tried connecting via VPN or DNS relocating service to access geo-restricted streams?

@maniac123 Hathway is supposedly expanding to my area by second week of June as per their sales team. I'm interested in taking their 200 Mbps plan to replace my Cherri connection. How is it going for you so far?

Like I said in the earlier post Hathway turned out just awesome for me. Had downtimes, but their tech support solved them in a jiffy, most reliable next to Airtel. You should try it for sure.

Thanks. Given that I need atleast 500GB data I'd never thought my monthly internet bills would go below ₹1500, thanks to competition.

Shifted from ACT to Hathway. Crossed fup and still getting 5mbps post FUP speed . No one gives you 5 Mbps after 1 TB FUP in Chennai other than Hathway. Should satisfy everyone🙂
