^Yes. It would be much simpler to move 40 lac people to some other place. We don't need an airport anyway. Bombay is just two and a half hours away by bus.

:yahoo:

New Delhi, Sept. 17 The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Monday urged the Government to take urgent policy measures to boost broadband growth in the country including asking BSNL and MTNL to adopt a franchisee model whereby local players can use their copper lines to offer high speed Internet services.

😗

looks like TRAI is reading our forums , ask why, see my post below

i wasn't talking about moving anybody...u were...won't be able to comment on if u want an airport or not...

Pune desperately needs a 24-hour domestic airport, and an international one as well. The problem is the defense services are actively involved in sabotaging every proposal even if the new airport is setup 40-80 kms away from the city. If they can vacate spectrum so that people can enjoy 3-g or whatever, they can surely think about this issue. It would be interesting to see what views people of Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore or Chennai would have if faced with a similar situation, not that they don't have their own share of bad luck in different ways.Anyway, my view was offered as a comparison to the spectrum issue. And it is a valid comparison.
