biggest problem of asianet is not speed it is billing they always send the wrong bill after a temporary disconnection or a plan changeand always they forgot the advance amount I pay it need a thousand call to get it deducted from the bill and they inflate the internet bill purposefully ,if I ask clarification they say tariff is rupees 1/mb for additional usage and not .8 as they advertised etc etc a thousand excusesif u change to bsnl they are worst than thisout of the frying pan into the fire  ,always for the customers

Hi, I am a BSNL customer @ the moment. For the last few weeks I am having problems with connection. My friend who is a proud customer of ADL suggested me to do the same as he did, i.e, to change from BSNL. After going through the several plans, I decided to pick HOMENET 475, since it has several advantages over my current BBG FN Combo 500. As per my friend's words, torrents as well as ordinary downloads have good speed. But after reading all the good and bad comments about ADL performance and CC, I am really confused about what to do. Yeah complaints anyone can say; not different from BSNL too. What I want is good download speed and uninterrupted connection(I know it is not possible with any ISP but still.....). With the end of the month close approaching, I need to make a decision quite soon. Should I call the BSNL and wait for them to repair? Or get ADL?Suggestions are welcomed.

Hi,I am a BSNL customer at present. For the last few weeks, disconnection is a severe headache, which wasn't much frequent before. Upon discussing this problem with my friend, he suggested to take ADL. He was a former BSNL customer but changed to ADL since BSNL lacked proper CC. Going through the plans, HOMENET 475 attracted me, which is somewhat equivalent to my current BBG FN 500 COMBO plan of BSNL, but has maximum speed 4Mbps compared to 2Mbps of BSNL. My friend made me aware of good service, connectivity and download speed (torrent and ordinary) of ADL. So I planned to cut BSNL connection and get ADL.But after reading all the comments here and everywhere, I am confused. Yeah, anyone can complain about ISPs; not different from BSNL. Some other friends also said good comments but warned me about ADL imposing excessive bill amount for exceeding limit. What I want is good connectivity without much problems and download speed. Will it be a mistake if I change from BSNL to ADL?Suggestions are welcomed.

stay with bsnl i recommend they do have 4mb plans which give upto 15 gb or with night download and less free gb usage ,u may found their plans in this forum itself i dont know their plansasianet's billing section is a mess ,no co-ordination between dept such as modem, billing ,supportthey never refund advance bill amt you paid ,you may need to call them a thousand times and their billing is always wrong after a disconnection or plan change i have no landline or i should have changed to bsnl if bsnl billing go wrong you have lot of options like complaining to JTO to trai ,but asianet just play tricks and steals money always, the software they use to measure bandwidth usage always gives wrong mb download/upload ,you will feel it after u change from bsnl because if your average usage is 30 mb per hr in bsnl same webpages you usually visit it will be measured around 50-70 mb in asianet ,i measure it using softwares as bandwidth meterif you are changing due to frequent disconnection cable isp's are all the samei think airtel may have less disconnection problem but they are expensive

Sorry for the double post. The first one didn't appear after posting it, so i again typed and sent. -_-Rs.500 or around is what I am looking forward to. More than that can't be afforded at the moment. 2 - 8am unlimited is OK for me as it has become habitual for me since last 2 years. So disconnections are same for all. Download speed is also another point. Now I have stopped downloading as my last download (not torrent) of 450Mb took the whole 2-8 free hours and still wasn't completed!! May be it is because of the link issue.

@SriRajanI too would ask you to stay with BSNL. There was a time when you could have migrated to Airtel BB. They were offering 2mbps UL for 499/- with 200 free calls last year. I had taken Airtel BB back then as a backup to my BSNL BB connection. As of today, this "unique" plan does not exist. They have altered the speeds of this plan from 2mbps to 1mbps too - I do not mind this, since I have access to 1mbps UL for 499/- without any FUP along with 200/- free calls - something which is a myth for the rest of the Indian population. 😉Try to get the disconnection problem sorted out at the earliest. Ask them to redo the wiring - something that they will do for free. Change the ADSL Modulation to G.DMT. If you meet up the right officials from BSNL, such issues can turn out to be trivial.

airtel no longer providing the 2/1 mb unlimited at 500 it is rs 1250 nowif u download a lot ,you need at least a 4mb plan with night unlimitedonly then you may able to download hd movies ,and need fast private tracker membershipyou need to use download managers like idm to that will make your download faster

@njan1982Yeah. Airtel BB had zero presence in this state and hence, they were giving away 1 mbps / 2 mbps UL plans for 499/- last year. However, the situation has changed now. The policy revisions affect only the newer customers; the old subscribers still get to enjoy the allocated freebies.. 🙂

One of the first ISP in Kerala. But worst Customer Care and Service providers in whole india. Well Myself a customer of Asianet Broadband Plan "Rapid 1350", monthly rental which will be near to Rs 1500. As per the offer, 1 Mbps up to 25GB of data and thereafter 512Kbps.1) Always have connectivity and speed issues...2) Worst Customer Care centers...3) Technical People are Illiterate....4) Customer Care People always has some excuse...what ever their problem is5) Never solve the issue on time6) No response if mailed the problem.7) Well there is an option to send mail to Senior Vice President, but read by customer care people8) Inefficient people from top to bottomSee what you get by paying Rs 1500Result isNow you take decision you want to take Asianet Broadband connection or not?Enquire anybody in technopark whether any firms has availed their servicesAnswer would be big NoBecause...they don't prefer worst..but only the bestGo for TATA, RELIANCE or AIRTEL Wired or Wireless Connection

Hi @useratbe, Im also getting around 6-7 Mbps for past two weeks and even upto 8 mbps sometimes, especially early mornings. I have posted my speed test results here. few days back i downloaded a game demo which was around 450 mb in less than 4 mins.
And for common use, like downloading heavy files , youtube videos and general browsing, it rocks.
The best part is they dont mind even if you delay your payments for few months.
I hardly play any online games, so no latency or ping problems for me 🙂 🙂 🙂
I am not biased to any service provider, but if I am getting very good service, why shouldnt I praise them? Here in trivandrum, the service is also very good, though I heard that its very bad for Cochin users.

thinks it is exaggerated
show screenshot of download speed both on internet download manager and utorrent

I was thinking of disconnecting Asianet dataline, as off late I am consistently getting very low speeds. Current speedtest shows 0.58Mbps download speed and 0.23 Mbps upload. While I was weighing BSNL, I got a call from ADL, promising me 6GB/month for Rs 450/month, if I pay for one year. Should I pay and hope that their speed will increase one day, or never bother about ADL at all...

^^ I would suggest migrating to some other service provider. I am hearing that Reliance BB has improved a lot these days (when we consider their services in Trivandrum). Checkout the screenie of the speed test of someone who is in TVM and who is on Reliance BB https://goo.gl/qQBgB

I will not suggest Airtel BB although I am using it. This is due to the non-availability of good old plans. I was lucky enough to opt-in at an early date and hence, I get to enjoy 1 - 2 mbps UL for just 499/- per month - without absolutely no form of FUP.
