lol. i sent the local guy a text at 6:30am expecting him to fix the network by 10-11am. but he replied back within a few minutes saying that it should be working now. and it was. no idea what's going on in my locality. but he did say that some major work is going on which would take a while but problem should be resolved soon.

i wonder if i should have texted him last night itself 😛

so excitel guy called me few minutes. all pissed off. told me that major work is going on. fiber is being laid down. problems would be fixed in a couple of days. i should wait for the work to be done before complaining on my.excitel again and again. 🤔

this week it's packet loss. downtime still occuring for 30-60 seconds multiple times per day. but when the connection is working, there is constant packet loss.

router reboot fixed the problem. dunno what the hell is excitel's problem. i never usually have a reason to restart the router. these days i have to do it multiple times every day.

my packet loss issue is also back but its very strange. when i ping an ip i get 0% loss but when i actually use applications like gaming or voice chatting then i see 10-15% loss. i will try restarting my router to see if it fixes that . if not then im gonna make a detailed post. i dont know whats wrong :/

called the local guy. he said that they are trying to get everyone to switch to fiber because ethernet network is completely overloaded. he said that he would try to get me on fiber by tuesday. and my problems should hopefully be resolved after that. would see.

my connection still has six days left. would probably recharge for a month this time around instead of three which i do usually. would have applied for spectra if they were offering unlimited data on monthly recharges. i am not going to prepay for six months just to get unlimited data.

hope switching to ftth works for you. yesterday i recharged my connection for another 3 months as i see no indication of getting excitel fiber in my area anytime soon.

lol. net stopped working a while ago. router light is on. router shows connection. took me 45 minutes to realize that my plan's validity was over.
