Don't know how excitel operates. If the money goes purely to LCO, maybe I would not need to pay again. If money is passed from excitel to lco, then there would be a problem. Unless my local guy compensates for existing wiring and refunds me the money.

1800 bucks. the guy left enough extra wire that i wouldn't need to get entire wiring redone if some truck snaps the cable hanging over the road. there was also some issue with the splicing. it took a lot of time. guy said high power on the pole was the reason. ended up with a splicing that had some loss? at home their device showed value of around 19 something. he said for 100mbps plan, it should be more than fine and much better than ethernet.

@Sushubh what was the urgency? You have to pay again at least for onu i guess coz without onu security, in excitel system request for installation on fiber is not created as the process is automated in excitel software. For wiring it depends coz for excitel fiber some dedicated cone is required in fiber. I have fiber just next to my house but since i upgraded to excitel fiber they brought the wire from place which is little bit away from my home instead of the fiber which was very close to my house due to this fiber cone thing and my lco has few other broadband companies as well

Afaik, lco has to apply for excitel fiber. It's not like excitel forces them to switch to fiber. Atleast not now
But if he already has the olt, splicer and fiber cables then why isn't he applying for excitel fiber. There is only merit. It's not like he is gonna lose something
