I know susubh will be kicking me where it hurts the most, but am planning to start a new forum called `India Narrowband Forum' and will make Mr. Maran the main moderator... it will take some time though because i still have to get out of the broadband honeymoon... say by early 2007... see you at that time in there... Hey man.. how many of you have actively written to the authorities, contacted your local newspapers... told the others the foolishness being dished out by bsnl  Pupudada!

i wrote to one of the email address provided by somebody on this forum

heh. i should have thought about narrowbandforum.in 😀

heh. u gotta be kidding me... it took me 2 days to move the forum to earlier location to this one. lets keep the irony to ourselves 😉

Sushubh - just curious, what does 2 x 128 Airtel BB Package mean and how much does it cost per month and what are its caps.

well we are 4 friends living together. we are all into net and stuff. ofcourse a single line of 128 won't suffice. so we got 2 airtel lines both with 128kbps. airtel does not offer more speed packages with unlimited downloads. we pay a bill of around 4200 including the telephone calls. their are no caps.

How do u interphase 2 connections of 128 to get higher speed ? Can I do the same thing with 2 connections of BSNl 256 speed.Besides this I could not find rates of 4200 which would include phone bills, service tax and also allow 2 connections to have 128 speed and that too unlimited with Airtel. Is this a negotiated rate with them.

well... i think its possible using a router. or a central server. we are thinking of getting that done. currently we share 1 line in 2 users using the 2 lan modems are 2 different gateways.as for 4200 for 2 lines. its an airtel normal package... 900 for 128 line200-250 for standard charges99 for modem rentalper line.add telephone call usage charges and u get what i said 🙂

For Rs 900 PM u are getting UNLIMITED at 128 speed. Thats fantastic. BSNL 128 speed ( DIAS ) charges Rs 3000 for unlimited.BSNL should do something about it and give us the same at lower costs.

well that is true that is why i love my airtel. the best thing is that they can change their plans to what so ever. i get to keep my connection.

BSNL_ CMD . Its no just 900 . Its 900+250 (min for vce calls) . So the total goes around to Rs 1150

See ud be paying Rs 250 anyways for voice calls so I dont count that additionally as everyone has a phone in the house.

For Rs.1000 my Isp provides 512Kbps with unlimited download and a static ip. once i stop mooching off of my family i will switch to the 512kbps plan. Once there i will either host a CS:Source server or a Net Radio.

we did not have any telephone in this house. i prefer airtel to bsnl. so it works in my favor anyways.
