Nextra Launches Nfinity No FUP Plans

my friend had nextra available in his area and when he enquired about nfinity plan he was said these plans are not available in this area. Seems like total BS and just a marketing gimmick to fool customers

got a call from retention department, got nfinity 35mbps at 1379 all inclusive for a month. Shall check it out for sometime then drop the airtel plan to phone only.

Any idea of fup hard limit? Now FUP is mentioned terms & conditions of infinity plans also.

does not say anything in limits anywhere in the plans.... but must be there at a certain thresh hold. I only use for streaming...4K netflix at times so will have to experience for sometime before getting to know. Though people above have have reported 400 GB then 2 mbps on 50 mbps plans

yep 400GB is good. Even 2mbps post speed is too generous in comparison to Airtel suck 512kbps.

I understand this is an old thread but needed to report here, I have consumed more than 450GB on infinity 35mbps plan this month and have not been throttled.to 2mbps.
I have repeatedly confirmed on email about any limits of 400GB and they have confirmed there is no limit and speed will not be throttled in any circumstance and it sure seems that way. Even the data counter from the web portal is now gone.

If this is true then I'll be going for Nextra instead of going to excitel, seeing as Nextra has fibre installed in my society, and the fibre lines go upto each home individually. Excitel, from what I see, cause of LCO, has been problematic because of the disconnections, packet loss etc.

Don't make me more jealous:confounded:

Which speed plan do you have? I currently have a local ISP giving me 11 Mbps for 750 including taxes. The 10 Mbps plan will just cost me 150 more, but as I'm already getting fully unlimited, and if it isn't unlimited, then there would be no reason to go for it other than the stability. Thus was asking.

Ohkay, that is nice. The excitel and nextra guys are willing to give a demo of a week each, will try both out before choosing any one. Though I'm leaning towards nextra. Better yet, I could press my local guy to give a better plan, now that excitel has 50mbps in the same price at what he's giving 10 mbps. 😉

Yeah get the one which is the best bang for your buck. I can't complain since their service has been pretty much flawless. I've rounded of the downloaded data to 400 in the meantime 😛

And another traffic manager screenshot for good measure: imgur.com/a/8nWLD, so that it can be laid to rest whether there is in fact a 400GB limit with which I was confused myself looking at this thread..lol. Crossed 500 total and 410Gb download alone.
Those linux and other open source bittorrent downloads really are something, 😱penedeyewink: Netflix and prime video have played their part though as well.

Peace!

This is leading me to lean towards Nextra more and more, but the
"Fair Usage Policy will apply to all Nfinity Plans" on the Nextra page itself makes me uneasy.

If it makes you feel any better I copied and pasted a screenshot of this statement in one of the emails I sent and the reply was the same unlimited. I think they would have told me about it in an email if there were any limits rather than ending up red in the face if they did throttle me and I quote their email replies afterward as to why I was throttled.

However, to be perfectly clear I am not trying to sell you nextra; the only reason I posted here and came out of my hiatus from this board was to make a point that if any fup does exist it is not at 400 which was reported here earlier or 500gigs for which i have proof- It may very well be at 600 or 700 or even 1TB and I may never know about it.
