Just curious because Airtel 4G LTE kills my phone's battery so fast, I cannot imagine staying on LTE full time.

I got Gionee mobile and started using JIO 4G on it. (with airtel 2G on second SIM slot)

Battery appears to be draining fast. Lasts 10-12 hrs only.

But then I dont know if Gionee uses less battery with both 2G cards as JIO is 4G only network.

Plus after JIO came - data connection is almost always on and sometimes with hotspot also on.

No issue with jio sim, now I use dual sim on my redme note 3, all time 4g on and heavy usage, i dont fall short of battery whole day after single recharge

I am 100% sure LTE drain battery fast compare to 2g 3g. I have Redmi 2 prime and if I use jio sim my phone drain battery fast compare to docomo.

I'm using lyf mobile for hotspot
Which lasts for 4 hours.

Battery is draining fast on Jio LTE. More so after recent security patch to Moto G4 Plus.

My battery used to drain at 1% per 2hours on 3G+2G combo now with a combo of 4G+2G it drains about 1% per hour even if I keep it idle with data turned off Normally I get above 90% signal reception on all my SIM

I am at work for 9 - 10 hours. I have Lyf wind 6 with LTE on all the time. I have Bluetooth tethered it to my OnePlus One. By the end of the day I have Over 50 % remaining in my Lyf mobile. This is more efficient than Wifi hotspot. Only disadvantage is due to Bluetooth, speeds are limited to 1.5 - 2 Mbps. I mostly use WhatsApp, FB, Twitter and Reddit during the day, so it works best for me.

I have heard some guys saying in Twitter that Jio 4G gives battery life better than other operators since it is only 4G it does not need to switch between 2G or 3G wasting battery.
