Unable to acces JioFi 2 dashboard when using any other DNS

I use Google DNS on WLAN as my primary DNS provider for the obvious reasons, however I noticed this abnormal behavior on my JioFi 2 device.
In order to access the admin area I need to change the DNS to automatic and do cmd ipconfig /flushdns in order to access the dashboard present at 192.168.1.1 which redirects at http://jiofi.local.html/
Is there any way to prevent the device from redirecting to the URL and force it to use it's raw IP instead in order to access the backend?

Thanks

You can't change that setting. In fact you cannot even change the IP of the device, which is really annoying since because of this I now need to put my home router on a different subnet. Unbelievable..!

Lol why would that be an issue. Use your router as a dumb repeater till someone gets their hands on the firmware for this thing.

Because I want to retain my router as the DHCP server for my network. I mean, unless there's no other option. Right now I'm running it through a Raspberry Pi 2 using iptables and that is tacky.

Ok made an account just for this!
I was having trouble opening youtube was getting a DNS unresolved error so I figured there's DNS trouble going on, tried changing the DNS through the Jio web GUI without success(couldn't find the option lol), so I decided to do it from my Mac's settings but all the other DNS entries got erased somehow! oh well I didn't mind since Youtube was back, and despite fast speeds webpages weren't loading earlier but now everything was perfect!
So I decided to open the GUI... and it wasn't opening. After searching online I found this thread and thanks to you I tried putting in another (third) DNS entry (not sure if that works on windows) 192.168.1.1 ..and.. it didn't work!! lol
I was so sure it would but then I dragged that DNS and put it above the other 2 google DNSs to set its priority first (again, this i'm pretty sure is not on windows) and that worked!! so now I have the google DNS benefit of crisp speeds as well as my GUI running!!
If you're on mac remember to put the default DNS first in terms of priority.. on windows I think you have 2 options for DNS so you can put this (192.168.1.1) in one, and 8.8.8.8 in the other not sure but that should theoretically work!
sorry for the long text peace guys!
