So, it's 30th June today, and the end of unlimited download. From tomorrow BSNL will start to rob you with Rs.2/MB rate. So, be prepared to look for other download option and prey that BSNL comes to senses soon.

Call the GM Broadband in your area and ask them if they cannot even match government owned MTNL's night unlimited (NU) plan. Is BSNL so dumb and arrogant with its customers, compared to even MTNL?Call the Chariman's office in Delhi and tell them (his PA/staff) that you will dis-connect the service as paying per MB is an atrocious treatment of customers of broadband. Then disconnect your service and switch to Airtel / Reliance (or MTNL.)

explain this to me... if u knew about today six months back when BSNL launched the scheme. how come they are robbing you now that the fun period is over?

Options are available ( other ISPs ) for those wanting to quit ISP X and gpoing to Y, so, there is no robbing or cheating. Unfair tariff cannot sustain for long and so those giving an unfair deal will loose market share obviously. If good sense prevails then BSNL will give as good deals like Airtel and others else God help BSNL to reach the numbers they dream of reaching.

well, r u guys not getting 1 GB for Rs. 500/-??? i believe Rs. 2/- per MB will be in place after that 1 GB...then why is this hue and cry...just do with this thing for a while and something will come up for sure!!! 🙂

1 GB = 1 day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!not one monthwhat's the point in having a 256kbps line ??? when a d/l limit of 1 GB !??It's like you have the ice cream, but can't eat it

We thought BSNL will revise the tarrif after 6 months if it didnt suffer any loss during this period. Got it?

Doesn't matter what one realizes. The bottomline is the B'Band users of India are being cheated.

They mention that their 1 GB limit quite clearly, and you are calling them cheaters? I wonder what you will do if you get landed up with Sify Broadband.

Well, Sushubh, i think everyone knew what they were signing up for 6 months back... what most of them expect is that since BSNL have managed to keep up their service during their six moths of 'free stuff', everyone expected them to extend the offer...if the failure of their service (bandwidth-wise) occurred often, people would have settled/accepted/resigned themselves (to) (the indian way), for 1gb per month..(Its like doin good service but with idiotic plans may lead bsnl's loss of customers....)

Don't like Sify. Actually I abandonned them (formerly known as Satyam, when they used to sell dial-up plans) when I came to know that they block specific IP ranges (may be due to moral issues). I am dead against Internet Censorship, you know.

ohh bsnl is far better than sify(sicky).atleast thay r doing what they promised .not like sify, limit on unlimited plans.WHAT A JOKE

so why call them a cheat? they are doing better than most BB providers in india. atleast they are delivering Broadband as per TRAI norms.
