Hi ACT
Recently I bought TP-Link MR3040 WiFi Router and ACT broadband.
I couldn't configure it as a wifi router in PPPoE Mode.
Please after giving the right user name and password, it is asking me to enter client(basically another wifi router) details.
Please give me step by step process if this modem works with ACT Ethernet cable connection.

Regards
Sundar

I thought PPPoE was a DSL thing 😱

Yes. PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) is a protocol used buy dial-up acts. Without this PPPoE, we have to log on every time we want to go online. I don't think any cable ISPs use it but some DSL ISPs do. They use it to free up IPs when users aren't online.

Now the question is about configuring MR3040 as a WiFi router in WISP mode directly from ACT ethernet cable.
