How can i download Torrents on sify

Thats normal on any public tracker 🙂, try on a private tb based ratio tracker to get better speeds.
 
@t3kj2nky...i'm on 256 kbps MTNL TriBand (not Sify)... 😀@sushubh...i think that's the case with me...i do have lots of stuffs to share, but haven't made torrents of them...so if u can help me on that 🙂@suraj...yes, it makes sense to me now...thanks...@tushar...can u get me some links of the private trackers...i'm totally new to torrents...
 
coolbuddy... 32kBps on a 128kbps pack? dats double of what u shud get... stop cribbing and spare a thought for the less fortunate ones 🙂
 
No MTNL doesnt offer 128kbps, it only offers 256kbps, Its a night unlimited scheme, look in his profile "MTNL TriB 590 NU". @coolbuddy Yes, sure I can pull up an invite for you for some private tracker gimme ur email. PM has been disabled I guess.
 
well, then is giving email in public allowed??? 🤔and saurabh, tushar is right...i'm on MTNL 256 (not Sify) and i mentioned that on the very first line of my post... 🙂
 

i never could made something available on my computer available as a torrent.. 🙁 looks like i never gave the documents good enough reading.
 
Not very surprising actually, many people don't even know what Bittorrent is, I mean there are other alternatives some better some not, its not a compulsion for everyone to use BitTorrent network, there are other modes of file transfer which give better speeds or some others which are much more safer etc.I came to know of bittorrent quite some time back almost a year or two back, the first site I came across was DT, now I am an Admin of a private torrent site.
 
hey, any idea what's does the "statistics" window show in Bitcomet???last night it showed me uploads till 65 kBps 😱 and that too on a quite constant basis...not any speed bursts...and my downloads to about 35 kBpswhile when i click the file i'm downloading and see the info of that, the uploads and downloads are at very less speeds...around 25 kBps...though my download is still less than the uploads 🙁
 
Man you are making my mouth water now, you mean to say MTNL forstly doesnt count Uploads in the totals and then they have upload speeds of 512 kbps. This rocks, this is damn awesome man. Craaazy. I am shifting to MTNL the very nest month.

OK now to your issue, the remaining uplaods are going to the people from public trackers etc connected through the DHT network. Please disable that as it is not a good feature. First goto, Preferences --> Advanced --> Uncheck Add DHT Network as backup Tracker. Then Preferences --> Advanced --> Connection --> Uncheck Enable DHT Network.

Thats it now see your speeds being used for the correct purposes. Also please note that maintaining a 1:1 ratio is a must on all ratio sites, ie you should upload as much as you download, it is only fair to give what you take 😉

This is however getting very off topic so I guess we should end this discussion here, this type of discussion will at some point lead to exposure of illegal activities here, which I guess is against the rules.

ok cool...thanksdone those settings...let's see what happens now...and btw, i'm still a bit confused about the "summary" and "statistics" window...i was getting those mind blowing speeds in the "statistics" window and not the "summary" one...it was quite decent... :wub:
 
In the statistics widow it shows you the overall upload speeds, when your DHT tracker is turned on, you are uploading to users who are not on the tracker you got the torrent from, hence they don't show on the summary window. Its just like uploading in Ares or other p2p sofwares. But don't worry that shouldn;t happen now ;-)
 
so does that really mean that i was uploading them at 65 kBps??? 😱currently it is 13 down and 20 up...my downloads are still slow 🙁i set the max up to 20 kBps...
