I've been getting very slow speeds (under 4 mbps) all day today in Pune near Wanowrie/Hadapsar area - anyone else facing speed issues today either in Pune or elsewhere?

I called the customer care as usual they are clueless and just opened a network team support request and told me to wait for 4 days to resolution 😀

Well, it seems to be back to normal just in the last few minutes. It was degraded all day today. Hope it stays this way.

Aaaand bugger! Back down to a crawl again.

So, nobody else on Airtel 4G data plans out here?

I'm trying to figure out if it's just me facing slowness (been 3 days now) due to maybe smartbytes topup problem or my CPE device gone bad, or if there are other folks with slow downloads as well.

Speedtest website seems to be picking far off places (like Indore or Kolkata) as default locations for "local" servers, and I get public IP in 27.xxxx instead of earlier 106.xxxx range, so maybe something is borked in the network.

If it doesn't get fixed ASAP my weekend will be ruined and I will be forced to step away from my PC and go outside and experience nature for a change 😀

So this problem has been ongoing since the 11th (been 10 days now!) and intermittently (I've been checking everyday once in morning and evenings) the speeds would get restored but then drop down again. Apparently this has been a more widespread issue (technician didn't tell me how widespread) and today got a message asking me to check the speeds, so far seems back to normal, but fingers crossed it stays this way. They say it was "network issue" and "we have solved it now" 🙂

TEN FREAKING DAYS !!!

@Gurugarmee sad that nobody else seemed to post in this thread, seeing that this was apparently widespread issue, but don't know whether it was area-wide, city-wide, country-wide or world-wide 😛

Even getting 25-35 mbps results on the new fast.com website!
