India had a lot of momentum in October. YOU Broadband moved up four spots to No. 4 with an average monthly speed of 1.68 Mbps, up from 1.51 Mbps in September. ATRIA Convergence Technologies held its place at No. 3 while increasing their average monthly speed to 1.89 Mbps, up from 1.71 Mbps In September. Speed for Reliance Communications slowed to 1.57 Mbps from 1.63 Mbps, dropping it down 3 spots in October.

This tells you a lot of Netflix viewing in India is done via mobile. Most mobile devices get 480p at about 750 Kbps. High end mobiles get 720p at about 1.7 Mbps. True HD and 4K is reserved for Chromecast, Apple TV, Smart TVs and the like. Anywhere from 4 Mbps to 15 Mbps. This must be a small percentage in India.
