Okay, so in 2015 I heard about google giving bsnl Caching servers (GGC) for some 14 circles, including my city Nagpur. The thing is I never experienced the change in youtube or playstore activities. So I decided to file a RTI against bsnl, the reply came saying that the server has been live since april of 2015. So What I want to ask is whether this is normal, does the experience not change drastically enough to notice? is bsnl playing games with the consumers? or do I have make some changes on my end to reap the benefits of GGC from bsnl?
 
i dont know anything about that but i can watch youtube video at 480p and some videos at 720p without buffering. I am using 1mbps plan i get 100/120kbps download speed in torrents and 140kbps in IDM. also there a ton of video streaming websites from where i am able to stream at 480p and yes I am from nagpur
 
Even I can watch 720p videos, and I do get the same speed. My friend has Orange city broadband at his place and he can stream 4k on youtube because of google caching!
 
i cannot do 720p for all only some videos 90% of time its 480p for me.
what plan is ur freind using from orange and how is there service
 
yeah I have a 2 Mbps, so that helps. But once I saw that sweet buffer free 4k at my friends house, I have been craving that!
 
whats the speed ur friend has what plan he is using from orange
 

That orange city broadband you mentioned provide extra speed when connected to local peers they have agreement with because its cost them almost zero to get that bandwidth, its a feature they sell broadband on.

No such thing in Bsnl , they treat all bandwidth equal so no difference you only get according to the plan.
