Recomend a good service provider

I am in India from Muscat and want a mobile connection. My phone logged on to SPICE automatically.I am in Bangalore and not a very heavy user. Clueless which service provider to go to. Any advice welcome.Thanks

well, i think hutch corporate(use and throw 3 months...but you gotta know some 'corporate' guys i guess) or airtel is only good in bangalore... but i'm no expert...any other suggestions?

Am browsing thru the SPICE website. What is the monthly rental they talk about?Is it towards the handset. (I have one already).

Go for BSNL. Cheapest yet more or less good service and country-wide coverage. Local cell to cell calls as cheap as Re. 0.90. [Prepaid] Voice quality is above average.But if they do not sell SIM cards through shops in your area, send someone to get it from the nearest Customer Service Centre.I'm using both Hutch & BSNL and find them good enough. 🙂

Thanks for the BSNL suggestion. I had more or less decided on Reliance but will chk out BSNL.STrange, but I just dont seem to be able to connect to SPICE. What is their Bangalore number can anyone help? The telephone nu,mder in the directory as well as what is in the web site does not work.
