I recently found out that reliance is providing its wireline broadband service in ranchi and my previous service BSNL EVDO which will be terminated in few weeks so I was thinking to get reliance but reliance still doesn't have a broadband office set up in ranchi. So,

1 - Is it a good idea to still get it.
2 - Do they fix the line if something is wrong and in how much time.
3 - How much time does it takes to deactivate or disconnected, if I apply.
4 - Anything I should know about??

PS - Any other service providers for my area?? BSNL is S#!T, and railwire installation charge is just too much for an average user.

I am facing the same problem and it is really irritating. I'm in constant search for a good ISP which also comes in budget for weeks. BSNL sucks. And Railwire, though service is good, doesn't provide services except 5 places - Heenu, Rantu Road, Bariatu, Laalpur and Kaanke. My monthly usage is upto 35-40 GB. Can't figure out what to do now. Other ISPs like Zeeroworries, Sky tel and Protoact have very expensive installation charges , plus there's no guarantee of good service. If anyone know any good ISP available in Ranchi, DO tell us.

Wait ! Is BSNL EVDO terminating it's services or just in your location or your subscription plan will end on that date.
