Does anyone has any idea how much phone manufacturers are paid for preinstallimg any app?
Facebook seems to be very notorious as they have their services installed even when app is not installed.
 
3-4 Samsung handsets which I used had Facebook Services pre-installed.
First thing I do is disable these services as those cannot be uninstalled.
Another app is Netflix. It came pre-installed on OnePlus 7 as well as my Galaxy S20+. Had to disable that as well.

Older Samsung Grand 2 had many Yahoo apps pre-installed.
 

OnePlus 8 Pro has been a pretty good phone, I was almost going to get one. Waiting for the new releases of this year.

MKBHD pretty much summed up everything in this video. I didn't know that the OnePlus One phone that I had, was a rebranded Oppo phone. 😛

I read somewhere in this forum that 8T was also rebranded of some Oppo phone.
Besides parent company of both brands is same, and OnePlus is manufactured at Oppo factory.
 
And that increases my interest in the Oppo phones. Even more when the company makes phones such as Find X2.

Also wondering what Carl Pei is up to nowadays.

This could mean that big changes are coming to OxygenOS, though it’s too early to tell. If it were being discussed internally, OnePlus would not want public relations staff to give a definitive statement on the off chance that the company contradicts them later on. Even if a decision hasn’t been made yet on the fate of OxygenOS, it’s better to stay silent and not give any answer, which is possibly the tactic being employed here. OnePlus already switched its phones to run Oppo’s ColorOS software in China, so if you are worried that OxygenOS will become more like RealmeUI (which is basically a ColorOS skin), then there’s a chance that could happen here.
