Which Bank is best in India for a regular Savings Account?

yes salary account. the only reason im going for standard chartered is free unlimited ATM transactions and lots more offer.

im seeking for pros and cons for SC bank.
 
From my understanding, salary accounts in all banks usually have these benefits.
 
After using SBI, HDFC, ICICI, IndusIND, DBS and Canara Bank, surprisingly, SBi has the best Netbanking interface by far. Well designed and has most features you'd need.
 
well they discontinued unlimited atm transactions on third party banks from may 1 this year so...

can anyone recommend a bank that does not charge for imps, atm transactions, email and sms alerts? apparently yes bank also charge rs. 5 per imps transaction if you do it through the website. free if you do it through the mobile app. it's fucking stupid.
 

My AXIS account does not charge anything for ATM transactions, SMS and email alerts.

IMPS charges:
From App: Free to all banks
From Web: Free to Axis accounts, Rs. 5.7 for other bank accounts

Anyway I've been in touch with the branch head + nodal and I'm hoping they will resolve this. Will post an update here if they do anything.

The list for me is trimmed to Kotak vs DBS so far 😛

Axis bank has sorted out the problem and credited the interest on 31st with an apology, but only after I contacted the nodal and branch head apart from the operations head. Better than something. I'll stick with them for now, as moving is sort of troublesome anyway.
