Low cost, Apple approved iPhone charging cable

I have had visits from two relatives in the past week with iPhones looking for charging at my place. So I am considering getting one for fucks sake.

I am guessing most of them are on a modern (!) phone with a Lightning port so that should be enough. A combo solution would be fine as well.

Apple Certified = higher cost. Amazonbasics or Belkin would be the safest bet. Both are Apple Certified afaik.

apple ios devices are already programmed to block unauthorized cables. check the reviews of digiflip cables for example. apple devices reject them after a few hours of use. 🙂

but yeah, they are not bricking the ios devices for using them right now 😀

Why would Apple approve low cost cables?

If Apple approves low cost charging cable that would prove that Apple is charging higher!

Just wanted to post about this...

Yugadi appears to be the official reseller of Anker products here in India and they do have Lightning cables in stock. Too bad no USB-C cables are available right now so I had to import them.

They are not cheap. But considering they are Anker... I guess the pricing is pretty good because importing the same from USA would cost a lot more. Though I guess AliExpress might have the same cables for even cheaper if you are willing to take the risk.

For example... You can get USB-C cables and chargers for pretty awesome prices from AliExpress. Same manufacturers (Anker/Aukey/Choetech) even.
