Airtel validity free internet pack

As per the announcement, Mumbai and Delhi consumers can now access 30 megabyte (MB) to 110 MB data on buying Rs 22 to Rs 74 packs. There would be no fixed validity period to consume the data unlike current packs, which come with validity packs starting with one day to one month.
Similar validity-free internet plans would be introduced in different circles starting December 29, Airtel said. The consumers can access internet over 2G, 3G or 4G network after buying such packs, although the rates of such packs might vary from circle to circle.

We should tag these threads Jio Effect 😀

though these low usage plans are not going to be of any use to most of us. as if you keep data on, it would disappear on its own. so not that big of a deal. might suit people who do not subscribe to data right now but have to access internet occasionally. instead of paying per KB, they can now get one of these plans.

Frankly. 74 bucks for 100 mb is a joke. I was actually hoping to see decent plans for the first time from airtel. But nope. Never gonna happen, not until JIO or someone makes em bleed. 🙁

Paying per kb works out to INR1/mb or so.

I guess these packs are targeted for those users who are under WiFi for 24*7 and need few MB of data for apps like whatsapp, messenger when they move out of Home/Office or while traveling.

^^^ like me!!

I dont have data plan. I use vodafone 5Rs per day plan when I am not in home or office!

Now if only Vodafone wud copy this!

Use VPN firewall, data will not evaporate of its own. Give permission only to apps which you want to use. [emoji106] [emoji2]

same here ! perpetually under wifi so dont use monthly packs. if vodafone does come out with this it would be cool.

Yep but looking at pricing - I think I would stick to 5Rs per day plan if Vodafone has same pricing.

your 5Rs pack would be 2G and if they offer 100MB 3G for 74Rs that won't be a bad deal as you can use it whenever you want

Issue with 3G is that.. its so fast that MBs get gobbled up fast!!

No sooner u turn on 3G - few background apps consume 2-3 MB immediately in a flash!

Especially iPhone is crazy phone when it comes to data consumption!

With 2G - you can check ur e-mail / whatsapp (basically text only stuffs) and those background apps wud not consume more than 500-700kb.

more about this Rs.5 voda pack plzz? can't find on the website.
