I am now on the ever slow and high cost BSNL. Thinking of changing my ISP, checked on Cherrinet but it didn't have flexible plans. Other ISPs as ACT, YOU, Spectranet are not available in my area. Airtel gives a maximum of 50GB limit and back to crappy 512kbps. Since only Reliance offers good speeds without FUP (at lease so in the paper). I just wanted to know about Reliance and Tikona. For both ISPs seems i have to login every time i use to internet and simultaneous connections are not allowed. I have about 6 devices at my home that need to be connected to internet via WiFi. So if i buy any of these ISPs plan, will I be able to do that. Do they have connection problem, one of my friend said that Reliance has connection issues at least once in a week. I have no idea about Tikona or their speeds. Do they give the speed that i pay for? Please reply if you have better suggestion. I am ready to spend around 1250 every month. I live near Kilpauk, Chennai.

Your fellow neighbors can give better suggestion on your question than anyone in this forum. Anyways from my own experience Reliance worked out well for almost 4-5 years......speed was constant....at times there were disconnection but it did worked out for me. Unfortunately the owner of the premise where DLC was installed had dispute with Reliance and Reliance saga came to end in my area.

Reliance : if it works...it works amazing.....if not......then :russianroulette:

Reliance would generally give around 3.2mbps on the 4mbps plan. Speeds are generally constant. But when it goes down, there is no guarantee of support generally. I have stopped complaining with the call center. I just write a mail, fill up their support form and send a tweet. The problem is almost always connected to the local gateway. Someone turns off the servers, power backup fails or something of that sorts. 2 days back I had no internet through the night. It came back online at around noon. I can imagine that some fucking idiot turned off the supply to their local gateway at night only to realize it in the morning. Tikona customers who land on this forum are generally pissed off about the company. The only positive comments are from Tikona employees posing as happy customers.

Don't go for Tikona i had terrible experience with them on billing . i am using Reliance wimax and recently switched to Relaince wired on my new home, its good. Their service may not be good when you have any issues / problems but when it works it give constant speed.
