I have a net quota of 150 GB and my bandwidth gets exhausted very fast, which forces me to increase the quota on my package, but after a while, the proportionally same reduction starts to take place, and I exhaust all my data too early which forces me to increase the quota on my package. You see the cycle here? Airtel claims that I used 25 GB in 3 days when I didn't even use the internet to download ANYTHING during those 3 days. All I did was browse the web and watch a few youtube Videos, not even in HD. If anyone else is having the same issue, please tell me. I want to create a thread to send them, because this is a legit scam if they are doing this on purpose. And, in a back and forth e-mail with 121@in.airtel.com, they claim that we have actually used that data. And, let me tell you, I use Linux only ( I know my bio says "Linux and Windows", but I just installed Windows 10 on this machine which was all linux 2 days ago, and I intend to install Linux again. This is just me testing Windows for a week ), I keep changing my password, and, there is no malware or anything because, well, I use Linux. Also, overnight, when the router is off, I lose GBs of data. So please, if you have this issue and are feeling lazy, please just reply "I have it too" or just vote on the pole. That's enough for me. If you can, give a detailed description of your problem too. I'd appreciate that.
 
Same here for the last couple of months. Dad's Chromebook is in no way using 5GB in 20 days but according to Airtel, it is.
 
I get the same feeling... glad to know that i'm not alone and the issue could actually be on Airtel's end

Yeah.. I agree. Narcist company - All they care about is themselves.

Their data calculator on the My Airtel app is severely flawed as well, showed incorrect data resulting in excess billing for me
 
From past 2-3 months i feel the same..
But then everytime i thought it might be my fault.
 
Happened to me in August and i complained.They rectified it.Has again started happening in December.Lodged a complaint.

And to tell you something interesting.

Today at 6AM i had 81.62 GB left.Nothing was connected to my wifi except my android.Dang at 2.30 it reduced to 80.72 . I called up Airtel at 3.25.And then didnt use the net and damn at 3.55 the data is reduced to 80.32GB.

This is a scam.
 
The same occurred to me as well. Last week, my data usage of 20 GB is counted as 44 GB by Airtel.
So, today I thought of checking the usage more closely. Since last 2 hours, I barely checked some emails. During these 2 hours usage at Airtel shows 1GB.

This is outrageous!!
 
Airtel is milking for the last few months they can. Once (hopefully) Jio gets a wider launch, they would need to recalibrate all their plans in most of the cities. People will not forget how they have made them to feel pinched over 1GB of data through their shitty plans and scammy bandwidth meters.
