Hi.. Good to hear that its working but sorry no idea about the speed which they give. but can give u some some suggestions . try disabling some files in ur startup through msconfig in run... u know some softwares will decreace ur system performance.. hence disable unwanted soft ware and minimise ur security setting and the privacy settings in IE then the speed which u get s the actual speed. we cant blindly say that u are getting slow speed u have to make sure tat the pc is good enough to get the max speed.

I know this request is a little out of place from the purpose of my original question, but still i hope i can place it here... Can any 'Home500' (2 mbps) users using utorrent in our forums confirm if my UTorrent settings below are ok? I get above 1.5 mBps d/l speed when i test my speed in dataone speed testing.. but in speedtest.net it varies.. it's quite low... so, can someone tell me what optimal settings u use to get a decent speed (above 90K) in utorrent?

My current settings with doubts highlighted in bold:

1.‘Port used for incomming connections‘- I use 60000

2.Randomize port each time utorrent starts: unchecked

3.Enable UPnP port mapping (Windows Xp or later only): UNCHECKED or CHECKED?

4.Add utorrent to Windows Firewall exceptions (Windows XP SP2 or later only): UNCHECKED (i have windows firewall disabled)

5.Global Maximum upload rate (kb/s): what should be the value here?

6.Protocol Encryption: enabled

7.Allow incoming Legacy Connections: ON or OFF?

8.Global Maximum Number of Connections: what should be the value here?

9.Maximum Number of connected peers per torrent: what should be the value here?

10.Number of upload slots per torrent: what should be the value here?

11.Use additional upload slots if upload speed
