Sify cheating the customer, again

Hi everyone,

It seems that Sify is at it again?

All unlimited pack users would be aware of the new cap of 200MB against the old 150MB cap. But for the last one week my account validity has been deducted. I have not used (D/l + U/l) the pack above 200MB on a given day. I received a call from their Delhi representative who informed me about the change. But see the response I got from customer care.

My only complaint is , if the rules were not changed then why the hell would a sify rep from delhi call me and inform me about the changes? why?

I have written to them about it will post their replies if i get one.

I was just reading that terms and conditions.. There is no mention of 200 mb per day. It is 150 mb per day and if u exceed 150 ur 1 day is deducted and on same day if u use 25 mb another 1 day is deducted . so if u are using 176 mb in one day ur 2 days are deducted..... This is mentioned in the below link - terms and condition which they have implemented from 9th june 2005.

dudes this is gettin very very serious. am trackin this crap for a very very long time. i've noticed tht it is a national phenomenon and its worse than ppl being abducted by aliens... because this is unbelieveable but true. another question... while applying for a job at sify is it important tht u add 'stupid' ,retarded', i.q.=2.1, 'can lie very well' and am born to cheat with a smile. because all the employees there are bloody liars. they say one thing do another and deny someting else altogether. lets just do all of us a favor..... get a hoarding booked in the major cities and publicise tht ''SIFY SUCKS" in BIG BOLD LETTERS everywhere. if they try to sue us we move consumer court!!!! ITS A WIN WIN IDEA> everyone in favor say >> "SIFY SUCKS"
 
actually... reliance support guys require special skills similar to these requirements as well.
 
this is total b*ll s**t!!! :angry: have u guys seen the caculation they've given for an "average user"???what??? they want to decide what we surf now??????????? :angry: gasholes!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah? then why the hell would they call and tell us about the new changed rule?
 
Mismanaged company...no coordination...customer frustration and annoyance.I hate it when Sify/ Sify CTO calls me. Their public faces are of no use to me except being annoying.

One thing which attracted my attention in Terms and Conditions file:

Policy : For those heavy users who however continue to remain on unlimited products the following rate shall apply :

Usage on unlimited service packs will be considered as one calendar day or 150MB in a day whichever is earlier. If the usage exceeds 150 MB in a day, one day in validity will be reduced for every 25 MB of usage beyond 150 MB. This is explained in detail as follows :

· For the first 150 MB utlisation in each day…..No deduction of days validity
· For every 25 MB utilisation beyond 150 MB within each day, one days validity will be reduced.

This policy is applicable from 8 am to 10 pm currently and will come into effect from 9th June 2005.


Does that mean we can download unlimited at night
 
hehe, this needs to be cleared/tested. Who will be the tester 😉 (because asking CC is like playing eenie-meenie-miny-moe and choosing an answer, your guess is as good as mine 😛)
 
if its true that 150 MB limit is just for 8 am - 10 pm then the limit is fine for me coz we can download stuff at night .
