Well as you guessed it, getting 1.5Mbps from this afternoon on my plan of Prime unlimited 700Kbps. Looks like a similar test period like the thread below this. Hope this lasts more than a day this time.

Please help. New to alliance broadband. Have the starter plus pack which should give me 3mbps peering i.e about 350-375KBps speed. But the first two days i had a speed of 1 MBps(yes i am aware of the difference between MBps and Mbps) from torbox as well as a few other torrent sites. Infact i had downloaded quite close to 16GB in 5-6 hours. So you can verify that i am indeed talking about 1MBps speed. But after that speed has fallen to 350 KBps independent of the source of torrent though their health is quite good. Was that 1MBps speed pure fluke/luck?

Not enough capable to answer that but I have noticed sometimes torrents with local peers can dl at lesser speed than you would get. I have the 700Kbps with 20Mbps peering, usual torrents come exactly at 2.9Mbps speed, divided like 2.8M+80Kbps normal. I have no FUP so not sure if your pack is affected with that. See below how it drops at times for me

EDIT: deleted pics.

Best to check again in the 2nd month, if same pattern happens then maybe you're getting increased speed up to some limit or for a day(?) & then back to usual speed. Do you have nighttime speed increase?

Right forgot to turn off that tab. Cheers for the heads up.

Anyway right now getting 1.5Mbps again. Temporary for today perhaps like last time.

As I write still getting same increased speed. About 170kbps d/l speed for a 550INR package is decent. Many recent torrents pick up the local peer speed easily too so effectively downloading only like 2 hours a day & don't even use the night free slot! Hope they permanently make 1.5mbps minimum b/w offered to all. BSNL can wrap their broadband cables around their neck & hang from a clifftop.
