BSNL Dataone - Tech Service

ooh. like i am the one who likes to drop in with nothing related to the conversation all the time. maybe you would consider what you do on most threads on this forum. anyways, i was not talking to you. if you have a problem with this thread going away from the topic, report to the moderator of the board.

I am in Trivandrum. Just got my DataOne Connection. It works fine. I was expecting that there would be a website where I can change my password, find out how much I have downloaded during a period, info about pop & smtp servers which other ISPs provide and so on. I forgot to ask these details when they came to install the connection. I am unable to get in touch with anybody in BSNL who could enlighten me on these queries. I had given my EMail address at the time of registration but they haven't sent any mail giving these info. VSNL was very informative in these matters. I finally rang up the number 1600-424-1600 which is mentioned in the BSNL website. The people responding to the call are very polite but totally ignorant about the queries (they couldn't understand why I need to change my password at all, no knowledge about what the pop & smtp addresses are about and so on), they keep redirecting me to local telecom office (they don't know the number though). Around here I got a number 1957, but it is always engaged. Other numbers ring but no one picks up. May be I will go around to locate them physically but shouldn't these be a part of the service automatically??????

Please follow the method given below for changing the password for broadband
DATAONE ACCOUNT .

1 . Open the site www.dataone.in

2 . Click on Dataone Account Administration.

3 . Then the Portal Server will open .

4 . Give username & password to login.

5 . Then you can change the password.
 

7Smart AlecGet ur self registere because either ways your IP is there with the Moderator and he knows who you are. In fact I gues most of us can guess your identity. Lets not think over it but forget it. Get more constructive with your attitude.
 
What is meant by "7" and "smart alec" ?What did happen to that member u are talking about ?
 
There is an unregistered user of this forum whose Nic reads as 7 and Smart Alec is a slang one can say. Read up google for more on it.
 
yeah. he seemed to have a problem with me. since i cannot leave, he decided to leave on his own.
 
A guy with great attitude I must say...He has got posts in every part of the forum as I can see...was a useful guy I suppose ?
 
yeap. but the problem is that he took everything personally. and that is not how community discussion works.
 
did he leave or will he emerge back and rise like a phoenix...............................
