I am from a small town and I heard that dataone is coming ehre too.i have some questions1.What are the procedurs for getting the connection?2.Can i install the modem myself? I am a small techie myself.should i spent Rs.500 on getting it installed? How can i install it myself?3.How mch would b 1 Gb in size for someone who spends hours in the internet?Which is a economical?Sancharnet dial-up in the night or a dataone for someone who uses internet so much but unfortunately still a student and remotely living to get high speed connections?

1) Procedure for getting a connection is by applying to your nearest local CTO , u can also regiter throgh the net but chances of your name getting registered is few2)You can install the modem on your own..its quite simple but for this you have to get your own modem..if u get the modem from BSNL (outright or installation) they will charge u with Rs250 installation charges (reduced).3) Regarding the 1Gb limit it depends on your usage.if u use the net for simple browsing , mails and chatting should be enough for youAlthough most of the Data one users of this forum are optmistic that they migth do some thing after june 30....lets hope for the best

1 Gb is a tricky one coz i am haing hoidays with a lot of time spent on browsing esp at night.I think in that way sancharnet at night is best.
