Since Feb 2015, I had been facing a lot of speed and connectivity issue and put up many complaints on their toll free help line number. Finally I went for its disconnection on 1st August 2015. I requested their customer care for disconnection on 1st Aug 2015 and asked therm to send their representative to collect the modem as I had removed it and kep it aside. I aso sent them an email on 5th Aug 2015 that I had requested for disconnection and had stopped using Tikona Broadband from 1st Aug 2015. I called them up again requesting them to send their person to collect the modem and email me the full and final statement. Finally on 3rd sept 2015 a person from Tkona, Mr. Ganpat came to collect the Modem.

On Oct 17th 2015, I receive a Demand Notice from their Legalcolls@tikona.in asking me to pay up Rs. 724/- as the outstanding dues. And today, on 19th Oct 2015, I receive a threatening call from some Advocate of Delhi stating that a case has been filed against me by Tikona and that I better settle the unpaid dues by 4pm tday or else I would have to attend their court cases in Delhi and Pay up the entire legal bills.

My last unpaid bill is of July 2015 of Rs.528/- I got the modem disconnected on 1st Aug 2015 and did not use their Broadband. All I asked was for a full and final statement including my usage for August 2015, if they are charging me for it. I wrote to their Customercare@tikona.in on 17th Oct 2015 and many a times before that too. But so far I have not received any response for my request for a F& F statement. Nor do their customer care Rep's at toll free give a call back.

Now am getting calls from their advocates. To the best of my knowledge, it is they who owe me some refund of the deposit/ amount that they had taken before installing their modem and connection at my place.

Please look into it and then send me the F& F statement. If anything due on my side I will ofcourse pay it. Kindly do not use Recovery Agents in the form of Advocates of Delhi to harass people.

Tell those thugs that you also want to file a case against them! 😀

They're not advocates. Tell them call is being recorded and if they call next time, you'll file a police complaint
 
Don't worry and be calm..those threatening callers are jokers not advocates...take it as a prank and tell them that you are goin to file FIR against them for harassing you.

one of my advocate friend had similar issue with Reliance, those tele-lawyers never called him back after he explained them
how and under which ACT he is filling the case and how are those call very technically transformed in to extortion calls as there were
no actual dues and the caller was not a lawyer, the only dispute was about postpaid connection not closed even after multiple written applications.

His account was settled on priority 🙂
 
Why Advocates of this Telecom companies call from Delhi court or some court from other states? Why can't they call from same state/city where customer resides 😉
 
I have also requested for disconnection on 1st october 2015,but till date,no once came to collect device and bills ae getting generated,my dad is a lawyer and I guess I don't give a damn about them..lol
 
I think these ISPs sell their debt to these collection agencies for cheap, who then try to get the money through dubious means

Good point. This is part of corrupt practices of companies. They bundle their Bad debt and sell stocks of it to 3rd parties at cheap prices.

I think Tikona should be thoroughly investigated by TRAI for their unfair business model. There license should be cancelled and their 4G spectrum should be taken back and sold to other telecom companies.

I am also facing same kind of harassment. I had submitted my intention for disconnection on 5/8/15 and their last billing date is 26/7/15. They had taken 45 days for disconnection from their end from 5/8/15 and charged for that also amounting to Rs 1002. I had been repeatedly sending them mails saying that i am willing to pay for the period 26/7/ to 5/8//15 on pro rata basis, which works out around Rs 300. And they have not taken back the modem also. I have not used even an MB of data since my reuqest. But i keep getting reminders about this and also got a legal call notice. My Subscriber id is 1111127373 and am from chennai.

I've been with tikona from past 8months; I never had any major problems with Tikona service as such. But Yes the first three months was perfect, no issues. After that I had a problem with drop-outs at problem facing for 2 months but that went away. As of now it's been perfect again. Speed is great, excellent customer service for when we do have any problems, and good pricing.
