If you are to reinstall a OS then formatting is always a better thing to do then just deleting windows folder .. specially for those who hardly use disk defragmenter ( me 😛 ) .I never had any problem with any windows which i was not able repair without a format . But still i do keep on switching between vectorlinux/xp/2k after a month or 2 when i am bored with one i go for other 😛 . Besides computer run pretty fast than b4r after format as all unneded registry entries and files are deleted ..
