tata sky video-on-demand question (coming from IPTV)

hi guys,
I'm coming from Airtel IPTV and my maximum consumption was "Time Shift TV" .. very similar to Tata Sky "video on demand".

The only advantage was that I was not charged extra for bandwidth. Is anyone using VOD here - what is the experience like in terms of bandwidth consumption,etc. I'm planning on watching HD quality shows on demand.

I still love the idea of "on-demand" TV .. in fact, it is the single most important thing for me. But Airtel IPTV has removed most channels from on-demand, so I'm not seeing the long term viability of continuing with it.

But because of my Lifestyle, I need to have some kind of on-demand TV

yup. i had it an year after launch. paid 4400 for the STB. it had around 40 channels available on demand back then. it was fantastic despite the shitty laggy user interface. dumped it when we moved to a better quality TV because the quality was barely suitable for CRT TVs.
