snr drop is expected with increase in data rate. 9.6 is not that bad, should give you a stable enough connection.
 
Not bad. Good Upload rates too. What's the Speedtest?

Played a game of Dota on the Singapore server and pings seemed just a tad lower than before. But pings still spike to double values every now and then. Any gamers on airtel here?
 
@op, how is your experience with 16mbps??
mine is very shitty and planning to downgrade.

Very good experience IMHO. Steady and stable. If you are getting shitty speeds/stability, call cc. Airtel is known for its service.
 
Got upgraded to 1mbps three months back, my SNR dropped to 6.6 and I started having frequent disconnections. It made browsing and downloading awful inspite of doubling the speed. Finally I couldnt take it anymore and asked the CC to downgrade me back again to 8 mbps and SNR leapt back to 21. The only saving grace through the disaster was Airtel's impeccable service, makes paying for inflated plans with pathetic upload speed palatable.
