No one is good in my area..no call from airtel. bsnl landline is down for 5 days after 2 calls to the customer care and online complaint..anyway I will be closing my bsnl bb by next month start and look for some alternatives

call nos on small stickers adv posted outside most of house wherever airtel is available.
I did the same, requesting online was no response, I think they don't earn commission when lead is generated online.

you really should get on twitter. just to get customer support.

Thanks for the support, I might visit both office to check the connection status..man I am so pissed off without broadband for 7 days...

Bugged them on twitter, got standard messages saying "We are looking into it", "You will get a call soon" man i like their standard reply

I got Airtel broadband installed yesterday, I was in office so the guy came to installed put my Full name in SSID
he has also changed the router login from default value so I need to contact him when he switches on his damn phone
and change the stupid SSID😛unch:

I took 16mbps plan, but speed test shows around 5mpbs ,
landline phone I had is not working, is there any trick/modification needed to have it working ?

tweet se kya hoga, password to installation guy ke paas hoga.

anyway, got whatsapp reply from install guy.
changed the ssid etc.

Now I see downstream speed of 6015 kbps should I bug them for this,
First time Airtel user so need you guys to help me 🙂

you need to contact airtel to get the line speed updated. i guess you can ask the same guy to get it fixed for your connection. he can contact the people at the gateway.

Man i so confused whether to switch to Airtel now, my friends keep saying wait till October 1 then take a decision and it is one week more. If BSNL had fixed my landline for time being i could have waited till Oct 1, but till now landline is dead and nothing has been done by anyone from BSNL 🙁

jason29, if having a week of downtime doesn't bother you, you can have BSNL. there would always be issues with wiring, cable
exchange etc etc, thats what you have to live with on it.

if you need connectivity with least possible downtime, Airtel is the way to go.

Offtopic: Airtel said unlimited Local/STD calls,
Are they really free

Can I call people in other states on their Idea/voda/whatever network.
Will Airtel ask for HEFTY calling charges if say I consumed 1000+ calling minutes on local +STD number
I am on 1199 plan.
